Well, the plane landed and when I came out

Now, in a previous blog post, I mentioned the blood patch for Team Fortress 2 which adds well, blood to it. It sadly has some drawbacks though, the first one being sacrificing my english Steam, but it isn't too bad. I have got another patch to modify the ingame language.

Now, the worse drawback, is that this one only works on certain servers, to be more specific, sv_pure 0 servers or rarely sv_pure 1s.

To explain what sv_pure is, it is a server variable which forces (or doesn't force) all client content to come from steam. It is important to handle cheaters, wallhackers, as VAC can't do anything on an sv_pure 0 server. So you can modify textures for wallhacking, but I do not wanna talk about that. (Note: I do NOT use cheats in multiplayer. I never did either and I stop talking here so I do not help 1337-kiddies cheating.)
So, as my blood patch basically is custom content there are obviously some problems:

sv_pure 0 means every custom thing is allowed (including my blood patch)
sv_pure 1 means that there is a whitelist which allows certain things such as e.g. my blood patch
sv_pure 2 means that everything has got to be standard content.

Now, as there are many sv_pure 1 and 2 servers, I obviously have a problem, as instead of giblets, there'll be black squares and untextured censored giblets. D=
Now, with a little guide, I have found a solution, covering regedit. So far it runs without problems, gotta do further testing though.

Then, I am working on a little TF2 Map. It might take a while since I want it to be something special = I want it to be a tc map. Thanks to a nice tutorial on FPSbanana, this shouldnt be a problem though.
